1.1 Rocket Room is operated by Elangeni Investments Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Our venue is located at 2nd Floor, Market Place, 20–21 Leicester Square, London WC2H 7JX.
1.2 Elangeni Investments Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our booking services. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, please contact us at mission_control@rocket-room.com.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Booking data. When you make a booking through our website or via our booking partner (DesignMyNight / Collins), we collect your name, email address, phone number, group size, and payment details. Payment processing is handled securely by DesignMyNight and their payment providers — we do not store card details.
2.2 Contact form data. If you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
2.3 Waiver data. Participants in certain activities (including axe throwing) are required to complete a liability waiver. The data collected in this process is used solely for safety and legal compliance purposes.
2.4 Newsletter data. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and use it to send you updates about Rocket Room. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
2.5 Usage data. With your consent, we collect anonymised analytics data about how you use our website (pages visited, time on site, device type) via Google Analytics. This data does not identify you personally. You can withdraw consent at any time via our cookie settings.
2.6 Cookie data. We use cookies to remember your preferences and, with your consent, to collect analytics data. See Section 8 for more detail.
3. How We Use Your Data
3.1 To process and manage your booking, including sending booking confirmations and reminders.
3.2 To respond to enquiries and customer service requests.
3.3 To maintain safety records relating to waiver completion for activities that require them.
3.4 To send you marketing communications where you have opted in, such as our newsletter.
3.5 To improve our website and understand how visitors use it, using anonymised analytics data collected with your consent.
3.6 To comply with legal obligations, including licensing, data protection, and financial record-keeping requirements.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
4.1 Contract. Processing your booking data is necessary to perform the contract between you and Rocket Room (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
4.2 Legitimate interests. We process certain data (such as contact form enquiries and safety records) on the basis of legitimate interests in operating our business and ensuring guest safety (Article 6(1)(f)).
4.3 Consent. We process analytics and marketing data only where you have given explicit consent, including via our cookie consent banner (Article 6(1)(a)).
4.4 Legal obligation. We may retain certain records to comply with licensing, financial, or regulatory requirements (Article 6(1)(c)).
5. Data Retention
5.1 Booking records are retained for 7 years to comply with UK financial record-keeping requirements.
5.2 Waiver records are retained for a minimum of 3 years for safety and legal purposes.
5.3 Contact form enquiries are retained for 12 months unless an ongoing relationship or booking results.
5.4 Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.
5.5 Analytics data is retained as configured in Google Analytics (default 26 months, anonymised).
6. Third Parties
6.1 DesignMyNight / Collins (booking platform). Bookings are processed via DesignMyNight, operated by DesignMyNight Ltd. Their privacy policy governs how they handle data collected during the booking process. We receive booking confirmation data from them to manage your reservation.
6.2 Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager.With your consent, we use Google Analytics (operated by Google LLC) to collect anonymised website usage statistics. Data may be transferred to and stored on Google's servers. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing.
6.3 We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We will only share your data with third parties where necessary to provide our services, comply with the law, or protect our rights.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
7.1 Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
7.2 Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
7.3 Erasure — request deletion of your data where there is no lawful reason for us to continue processing it.
